Eddie Hazel

Funk pioneer and initial guitarist for Parliament-Funkadelic who was simply a posthumous Stone Hall of Popularity inductee. He sang in chapel and received his first acoustic guitar as a Xmas present from his sibling. His mother in the beginning disallowed him from becoming a member of Parliament when he was seventeen. His mom moved the family members to NJ so he’d not have to handle the stresses of inner town existence. He and Parliament-Funkadelic bandmate George Clinton had been instrumental within the advancement of funk music.
