Dorothy Norwood

Gospel singer that has recorded a lot more than 40 albums during the period of her prolific profession. She actually is known mainly being a single artist and an associate of the music group The Caravans. She transferred to Chicago in 1956 and started performing alongside fellow gospel vocalist Mahalia Jackson. Her record “The Caravans Paved just how” gained her the Robert Estevis Award. She and her family members started touring as a family group music group when she was eight years of age. She and Casting Crowns’ Tag Hall are two from the Atlanta area’s most recognizable gospel performers.
