Trumpeter and composer known for his function in the jazz and hard bop music styles. He released four acclaimed albums for the Blue Take note record label: Blues in Trinity in 1958, Superstar Shiny in 1959, and Comin’ On! and Soundin’ Away in 1960. He went to the Alpha Young boys College in his indigenous Jamaica and started playing trumpet when he was fourteen years of age. He constructed music for the 1958 criminal offense film Nowhere to look. He was the boy of the Jamaican pianist. After departing Jamaica, Reece resided in London, Paris, and NY. He performed with renowned jazz saxophonist Dexter Gordon.
