He examined engineering being a youngsters, and became seriously interested in racing after participating in the Paul Ricard generating college. He competed in Formulation One for four years, earning his first competition in 1980 on the Belgian Grand Prix. Simply weeks after his loss of life within a boating incident, his partner, Catherine Goux, provided delivery to his twin sons.
