Known primarily being a house operate hitter during his 12-year profession in Major Group Baseball. He grew up just beyond SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA and starred as an initial baseman for Sequoia SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL prior to starting his professional football career. He gained the nickname ‘Dr. Strangeglove’ due to his incapability to field his placement well. He wedded and divorced double and acquired two sons called Richard Jr. and Robert and something daughter called Debra. He was within the on deck group when teammate Costs Mazeroski hit the house run that gained the 1960 Globe Series for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
