Fight medic of america Army during Globe Battle II who distinguished himself through the Fight of Okinawa. He preserved 75 wounded infantrymen while refusing to destroy an foe soldier or bring a tool into combat because of his Seventh-day Aventist values. He helped support his family members through the Great Depressive disorder by working in the Lynchburg Lumber Organization. He was the very first conscientious objector to get the Medal of Honor, and the only real conscientious objector to get the medal during Globe Battle II. He was created the son of the carpenter and homemaker and elevated alongside siblings called Audrey and Harold. He wedded Dorothy Schutte with whom he previously one son called Desmond “Tommy” Doss Jr. He later on wedded Frances Duman after Dorothy passed on in a vehicle accident. He was portrayed by Andrew Garfield within the Mel Gibson-directed film Hacksaw Ridge.
