Dennis Russell Davies

Pianist and orchestral conductor known for his Grammy Award-winning saving of composer Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Springtime suite. He executed both Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra as well as the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. He educated on the renowned Juilliard College in NEW YORK and eventually directed the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra in Minnesota. He often collaborated with jazz musician and fellow pianist Keith Jarrett. He was created in Toledo, Ohio, and he afterwards lived in NEW YORK, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and Stuttgart, Germany. Through the 1980s, while from the Baden-Wurttemberg Condition Opera Home, he executed two operas by contemporary composer Philip Cup.
