Dennis O’Driscoll

Highly-regarded Irish poet, author, editor, and critic whose poetic functions include Weather conditions Permitting and Lengthy Story Brief. His prose and vital publications include Stressed Thoughts, Majestic Dreams; Estimate Poet Unquote; as well as the Outnumbered Poet. He examined laws in Dublin and spent thirty years as a worker from the Irish Workplace from the Income Commissioners. In his memoir Sing for the Taxman, he modestly state governments that he generally considered himself more being a civil servant than as a poet. He was one of the children blessed to Catherine Lahart and Adam O’Driscoll. He wedded fellow poet Julie O’Callaghan. His biography of Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney was released in 2008.
