Drummer who used Louis Armstrong and who also toured with Armstrong’s All Celebrities Music group and contributed to numerous of his recordings. He created his own music group, The Hawaiian Dixieland All-Stars, which toured in Japan as well as the Hawaiian islands. He was the drummer on both of Armsrong’s seminal strikes “Hello, Dolly!” and “Just what a Fantastic Globe.” He was created in the sugars plantation community of Waipahu in Hawaii. He and his wife Dee experienced two daughters. He performed on Armstrong’s 1938 track “Jeepers Creepers,” which influenced the 2001 film from the same name, starring Gina Philips.
