Biography

Cuban-born talk show host and designer who earned the GLAAD Media Vanguard Award. She became well-known for hosting a Spanish-language chat show known as Cristina. She still left Cuba at age twelve and searched for refuge in Miami, Florida. Her well-known chat show aired over the Univision network. She wedded Marcos Avila in 1982. George Lopez was a visitor on her chat show.
