Prominent German actor who appeared in more than 100 films and played out Main Heinrich Strasser in Casablanca. He also made an appearance in the 1940 film, The Thief of Bagdad. He was drafted in to the German armed forces during World Battle I. He starred in two of the very most well-known silent movies – The Cupboard of Dr. Caligari and THE PERSON Who Laughs. He and his third wife, Illona Prager, a Jewish girl, moved to THE UK when the Nazi routine found power in Germany. His film, THE PERSON Who Laughs, was predicated on the book from the same name by Victor Hugo.
