Connie May Fowler

An American novelist and screenwriter, she actually is most remembered on her behalf semi-autobiographical book, Before Women had Wings. The favorite work gained the Southern Reserve Critics Group Award in 1996. She proved helpful being a bartender, caterer, nurse, tv producer, Television show web host, antique seller, and construction employee prior to starting her literary profession. Her work continues to be characterized as southern books using a postmodernist bent. Blessed and elevated in Florida, she received her bachelor’s level from the School of Tampa. Fowler’s literary framework and tone reflection those of writer Virginia Woolf.
