Known for his music compositions for the saxophone that built-in North African music with Japanese affects. He occasionally utilized a pseudonym for his jazz and rag-music compositions: Jean Matitia. He received his formal education in the Université de Bordeaux as well as the Conservatory at Bordeaux where he was trained by the famous Michel Fusté-Lambezat. He was called Artistic Director from the Orchestre Country wide Bordeaux Aquitaine in 2004. He was created in Sfax, Tunisia, but his family members relocated to Bordeaux, France. He and globe innovator Moncef Marzouki had been both created in Tunisia.
