Chris Brasher

English athlete and sports journalist who co-founded the London Marathon in 1981. He went to rugby college in Guyana and later on went to St John’s University, Cambridge. He received platinum in the in the 3,000 metres steeplechase in the 1956 Olympics. He wedded tennis champ Shirley Bloomer. Ron Delany was another platinum medal earning runner in the 1956 Olympics.
