Known for a difficult, moving fastball and great slider, he produced his MLB debut in 2012 using the Tampa Bay Rays and completed second in the 2013 First year of the entire year voting. He performed football at Clayton SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL in NEW YORK. Before achieving the majors, he performed for the minimal leagues systems from the Cleveland Indians and Chicago Cubs. He grew up by his grandparents, Donna and Ron Archer. He was BJ Upton’s teammate in the Rays in 2012.
