He was frequently described by his supporters as “Yardbird.” He became a member of his high school’s music group using a rented saxophone. He was known as the Parrot and his music “Anthropology,” “Ornithology,” and “Verification” have grown to be standards. He wedded Chan Parker in 1950 plus they elevated two children jointly. He was once element of a duo with Dizzy Gillespie.
