Charles Simic

Serbian-American poet and 1990 recipient of the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for THE PLANET Doesn’t End. His many other poetry choices consist of Dismantling the Silence, Weather Forecast for Utopia and Vicinity, and Unending Blues. He graduated from NY University. He released his debut poetry collection, The actual Lawn Says, in 1967. He was selected in 2007 because the fifteenth Poet Laureate Advisor in Poetry towards the Library of Congress (USA Poet Laureate). He was created in Belgrade, Serbia (after that section of Yugoslavia), and he immigrated to america when he was sixteen yrs . old. He was the 2007 receiver of the Wallace Stevens Prize, presented with the American Academy of Poets.
