Charles Rennie Mackintosh

The primary representative of Art Nouveau in the uk, he was influenced with the Industrial Revolution. Redesigned famed architect and developer W.J. Bassett-Lowke’s house. He became in 1890 the next person to earn the Alexander Thomson Going Studentship award. He uncovered his like for painting floral watercolors while travelling in Suffolk. He and his wife, along with another few, produced “The Four,” a collaborative structures group. He was the 4th of 12 kids; his father created the popular design of raincoat referred to as a mackintosh. He wedded Margaret MacDonald in 1900, with whom he fathered two kids. He and Frank Lloyd Wright had been contemporaries.
