Charles R. Johnson

A prominent African-American author and scholar, he’s most widely known for his novels, Dreamer (1998) and Middle Passing (1990), which fine detail black life in the us. His other functions include such nonfiction game titles as The Pleasure to be Buddhist: Dharma Essays and Tales and Black Males Speaking. He analyzed journalism at Southern Illinois University or college and SUNY-Stony Brook. He also worked well as a politics cartoonist. He was granted a MacArthur Fellowship and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He was created in Evanston, Illinois. He later on taught for quite some time in the University or college of Washington. He and Paul Foster possess both received Guggenheim fellowships.
