Charles E. Merriam

Among the foremost political researchers of his age group, whose seminal record of American political actions was among the first predicated on hard data. He was also a significant advisor to many Presidents including FDR, who helped through the Great Melancholy. He studied rules at Columbia College or university and at Paris and Berlin, but became disillusioned with regulations profession and turned to political research. Despite no formal mathematical schooling, he thought in using quantitative evaluation to back again up analysis and ideas – which became known as the Chicago College of analysis. He was created in Hopkinton, Iowa, the descendant of 17th hundred years Scottish immigrants. Abraham Maslow, delivered about 30 years after him, was also a well-known psychologist, developing his well-known hierarchy of requirements.
