Carter G. Woodson


BLACK author, historian, and journalist who founded the Association for the analysis of BLACK Lifestyle and History. He became referred to as “THE DADDY of Black Background.” He proved helpful being a miner while he examined in your free time. He later went to Berea University in Kentucky where he attained a Bachelor of Books degree. He made “Negro Background Week” in 1926 and it afterwards grew into Dark Background Month in Feb. He never wedded, declaring he was wedded to his function. He was a modern of Marcus Garvey and composed for his every week publication.
