Caroline Chisholm


19th-century British humanitarian who was simply an advocate for the welfare of feminine immigrants in Australia, and that has been taken into consideration for sainthood. In 1834 after watching that this wives and daughters of English soldiers were surviving in poverty and involved with criminal offense and prostitution she founded the feminine School of Market for the Daughters of Western Soldiers. She actually is commemorated on 16 Might in the Calendar of saints in the Chapel of Britain and there’s also proposals for the Catholic Chapel to also recognise her like a saint. At age 22, she wedded Captain Archibald Chisholm, who worked well for the East India Organization and was thirteen years old the her. The type of Mrs Jellyby in the Charles Dickens novel Bleak Home is reported to be predicated on Caroline Chisholm.
