Burl Ives

Professional and folk vocalist who all recorded “JUST A LITTLE Bitty Rip” and who was simply responsible for Xmas standards want “Holly Jolly Xmas.” He was an ardent Boy Scout who gained the Sterling silver Buffalo Award. He was students at Eastern Illinois School in the past due 1920s before departing to devote most of his time and energy to music. In the 1950s, he was blacklisted for allegedly having communist ties. He wedded Helen Peck Ehrich on Dec 6, 1945 and, after their divorce on Feb 17, 1971, he remarried Dorothy Koster Paul on Apr 16, 1971. He was once within the same performing group as Woody Guthrie known as Almanac Singers.
