Bunk Johnson

Biography

Jazz musician considered one of the better trumpeters of the first 1900s. He often collaborated with clarinetist George Lewis and with vocalist and fellow trumpeter Louis Armstrong. As a man, he sometimes performed using a music group led by clarinetist Pal Bolden. After finding a group of dentures and a fresh trumpet, he started recording music once again in 1942. Very little is well known about his personal background, as a lot of Johnson’s lifestyle and legacy is apparently self-fabricated. It really is specific, nevertheless, that he was created in New Orleans, Louisiana. He collaborated with blues vocalist and guitarist Lead Tummy, among numerous various other musicians.
