Buck Leonard

Initial baseman who played in the Negro Group for the Homestead Grays from 1934 to 1950 and earned three Negro Group Globe Series championships. He got into the working globe at age group 14 because education had not been open to blacks, and became a member of the Negro Group when he was 27. He was chosen towards the All-Star video game 13 situations, and was inducted in to the Football Hall of Popularity in 1972. His initial wife, Sarah, passed away in 1966, and his second wife, Lugenia, was alive until his loss of life; he previously four stepchildren. He was inducted towards the Hall of Popularity at exactly the same time as his long-time teammate Josh Gibson, who was simply no more alive.
