Respectable musician whose career was finished prematurely at 54 when he was wiped out inside a head-on collision having a drunk driver. He was presented with a full scholarship or grant to the University or college of Melbourne Conservatorium at age 17. He debuted using the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra when he was 20. He was thinking about palaeontology, learning vertebrate palaeontology at Columbia University or college with New York’s Museum of Organic History. His parents weren’t sure if indeed they should name him Bruce or Leonard. They resolved on Leonard when his Scottish grandfather stated he was as well puny to become named following the Warrior Ruler of Scotland. He later on changed it back again to Bruce. He was mentored by Roy Shepherd who was simply among Alfred Cortot’s college students.
