Canadian-born NFL fullback for the Chicago Bears from 1930 to 1937 and again in 1943; afterwards became a specialist wrestler. He was uncovered by the College or university of Minnesota mind coach, who noticed him plowing a field. He hauled luggage of groceries for his parents being a youngsters and helped out in timbering functions close to his hometown of Worldwide Falls, Minnesota. He fathered a boy, Bronko Nagurski Jr., in 1937, twelve months after marrying his years as a child sweetheart, Eileen Kane. He and Dave Winfield had been named by Sports activities Illustrated as two from the four greatest sportsmen in Minnesota condition history.
