Well-known for his memoir Spitfire!, which information his Royal Atmosphere Force service through the Fight of Britain, Street was granted the Distinguished Soaring Mix for his wartime bravery. After doing work for a period at an British factory, he became a member of the Royal Atmosphere Push in the middle-1930s. He released his memoir beneath the pencil name of B.J. Ellan. He was raised in Pinner, Britain, as the kid of Henry and Bessie Street. In the first 1940s, he wedded female competition car drivers Eileen Ellison. He and Alex Henshaw had been both World Battle II-era Spitfire pilots.
