Bob Mathias

Famous as both an athlete and a politician, Mathias received precious metal medals in the decathlon events in the 1948 and 1952 Olympic Online games and continued to serve through the past due 1960s and early 1970s as an eighteenth-district California person in america House of Associates. He earned his 1st Olympic yellow metal when he was just seventeen years of age and a recently available graduate of California’s Tulare Union SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL. An actor and a decathlete and congressman, he performed a recurring part in the short-lived NBC series The Troubleshooters and in addition made an appearance in the film Minotaur: the Crazy Beast of Crete. His two-decade relationship to Melba Mathias finished in divorce in 1976, and he spent the final three years of his existence wedded to Gwendoyln Alexander. When he passed away of tumor in his seventies, he was survived with a son called Reiner and daughters called Megan, Alyse, Romel, and Marissa. Mathias aided the eventually unsuccessful second presidential marketing campaign of fellow Republican Party politician Gerald Ford.
