Billy Grammer

American country singer who released the music “Gotta Travel On” in 1959. It had been an instantaneous pop and nation crossover strike. He became a member of the U.S. Military during World Battle II and in addition worked well as an apprentice toolmaker for the Washington Naval Weapon Manufacturer. He was a performer in the Grand Ole Opry. He wedded senior high school sweetheart, Ruth Burzynski, in 1944. He documented a cover edition of Bobby Bare’s music, “Detroit Town,” in 1963 and entitled it “I Wanna GO BACK HOME.”
