Billy Daniels

American performer who’s greatest remembered for his recording from the song “That Previous Black Magic” as well as for his appearances in such Broadway productions as Memphis Bound, Hi there Dolly!, and Golden Boy. He transferred to NEW YORK in 1935 to review laws at Columbia School; however, he shortly became a performing waiter, nightclub vocalist, and radio performer, rather. He gained a star in the Hollywood Walk of Popularity. He was created in Jacksonville, Florida to some postman dad and an organist mom. He wedded his third wife, Pierrette Daniels, in 1955. He starred with Pearl Bailey within a 1975 all-black Broadway creation of Hello, Dolly!
