Versatile soloist, arranger, and ensemble member who collaborated with a few of his era’s most significant performers. He oversaw the 2000 task “The Contacting: Celebrating Sarah Vaughan” by Dianne Reeves. It gained the 2002 Grammy Prize for Greatest Jazz Vocal Compact disc. His documenting debut emerged in 1977 when he was touring Japan using the J.J. Johnson Quintet. He released his initial single jazz record “Consider for instance, This…” in 1988. He became an arranger for such performers as Sting, Yo-Yo Ma, Michael Buble, and Phil Ramone. His family members regarded his piano abilities in early stages, and he started acquiring lessons when he was simply six. His playing design was inspired by performers like Herbie Hancock, Keith Emerson, and Chick Corea.
