Billie Rogers

Trumpet player well-known for becoming the initial woman to try out trumpet in a significant jazz group. She used numerous groupings in the 40’s, like the Woody Herman Orchestra. She and her family members formed the family members music group Smith’s Rainier Entertainers while surviving in Rainier, Washington. She was created with ideal pitch. She originated from a highly-musical family members, her mom and dad both becoming multi-instrumentalists. She performed trumpet using the Woody Herman Orchestra from 1941 to 1963.
