Hall of Popularity defensive lineman who gained a popularity among the fiercest defensive players within the NFL through the later 40’s and early 50’s. He performed his entire profession using the Cleveland Browns, producing Pro Bowls in each of his eight NFL periods and earning the NFL Tournament in 1950. He went to Columbus East SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL and, afterwards, Ohio State School, where his #99 shirt was ultimately retired.
