Bill Bowerman


Produced the University of Oregon a top destination for aspiring pro runners. He handled off the running craze in america and co-founded Nike. He proved helpful being a journalist along with a sometime high-school monitor trainer before he was employed by his alma mater to teach monitor. He and Phil Knight, his previous trainee, each spent $500 right into a firm known as Blue Ribbon Sports activities in 1964, importing Japanese Tiger jogging shoes towards the U.S. He previously two daughters and three sons along with his wife Barbara Youthful Bowerman. He was performed by Donald Sutherland within the 1998 film Without Restricts, which devoted to his relationship along with his most well-known trainee, Steve Prefonatine.
