Bidhan Chandra Roy

Physician, independence fighter, and politician who was simply the second Main Minister of Western Bengal from 1948 to 1962. He notably founded the towns of Durgapur, Kalyani, and Bidhannagar. He was a medical college student who enrolled at St Bartholomew’s Medical center, which would grow to be a bothersome period for him. Country wide Doctor’s Day is definitely celebrated on your day of his delivery and death each year in India. He was the youngest of five kids created to his mom, who passed away when he was 14. He and Jyoti Basu are both previous Main Ministers of Western Bengal, Basu having kept the name for 23 years.
