Beth Orton

BRIT Award-winning singer who created the folktronic audio, mixing up electonic with folk music. She released music with various other performers, but pursued a single career aswell. She obtained prominence in the middle-1990s through her collaborations with electronica pioneers William Orbit as well as the Chemical substance Brothers. Her music have been highlighted over the soundtracks of Felicity and Dawson’s Creek. She was created in Dereham, Norfolk in Britain and grew up by her mom after her dad left the family members. Movie director Cameron Crowe selected her, along with choices in the Beatles and Sigur Ros, for the eclectic soundtrack to Vanilla Sky.
