Bernard Maybeck

Buildings included the Palace of Great Arts as well as other well known buildings within the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Region. He was area of the early 20th century’s Arts and Crafts Motion. Honored the 1951 American Institute of Architects Silver Medal. He examined on the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris, before relocating to Berkeley, California, in 1892. He was called a teacher of engineering sketching at School of California, Berkeley, where he mentored such upcoming notables as Julia Morgan and William Wurster. His 1910 style for the very first Cathedral of Christ, Scientist, was called a National Historical Landmark. His dad was a German immigrant. He wedded Annie Light and had one young child. He trained at UC Berkeley, where Steve Wozniak went to.
