Portuguese painter who became well-known for her “Self-Portrait” from 1900. She colored scenery, portraits, and everyday moments. She studied in the Good Arts Academy of Porto, Portugal, using the famed João Marques de Oliveira. She was affected by realism, naturalism, impressionism, and post-impressionism. She was created in Chile to Portuguese parents, and she relocated back again to Portugal with her family members when she was just two years aged. She and Vincent vehicle Gogh had been contemporaries.
