Paraguayan novelist who’s most widely known for assisting to establish the dictator novel genre. His most well-known works consist of Yo un Supremo and Hijo de hombre. He fought for Paraguay within the Chaco Battle against Bolivia. He released his first book, Hijo de hombre (Kid of Man), in 1960.
