Artturi Ilmari Virtanen

Biography

A Finnish chemist who won the 1945 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his innovation in agricultural and nutrition chemistry. He also made a way for better protecting butter and green fodder. He attained a Ph.D. in organic chemistry in 1918. There’s both an asteroid along with a lunar crater called in his honor. He previously two sons with botanist Lilja Moisio, who he wedded in 1920. He gained the Nobel Award in Chemistry the entire year after Otto Hahn do.
