Arthur Kane

Best remembered being a founding person in and bassist for the 1970s music group THE BRAND NEW York Dolls, this glam rock and roll musician also collaborated, at various factors in his profession, with Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious and W.A.S.P. guitarist Blackie Lawless. After graduating from NY City’s Martin Truck Buren SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, he enrolled being a culinary arts pupil on the Pratt Institute. He ultimately dropped away of college and resided in Amsterdam for quite some time. In the past due 1980s, while surviving in LA, he joined up with The Cathedral of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He wedded Barbara Garrison in 1977. Unfortunately, he passed away at age fifty-five, simply hours after getting identified as having leukemia. Before developing THE BRAND NEW York Dolls in the first 1970s, he and guitarist Johnny Thunders performed in a fresh York-based band known as Actress.
