Musician who was simply an associate of Les 6, a grouping of 6 French composers whose function was regarded as a response against impressionism. His last structure was “A Xmas Cantata” from 1953. He researched music in the Zurich Conservatory and later on in the Paris Conservatoire under Charles-Marie Widor and Vincent d’Indy. He was presented for the Swiss twenty-franc banknote. He was created to Swiss parents surviving in Le Havre, France. He wedded Andree Vaurabourg in 1926. His 1946 “Symphonie Liturgique” was frequently in comparison to 1940’s “Sinfonia da Requiem” by Benjamin Britten.
