An American fiction writer, he’s particularly known for his bestselling 1997 novel, Memoirs of the Geisha. The novel was modified into an Academy Award-winning feature film in the initial decade from the 21st Hundred years. He spent a summertime at Peking College or university in Beijing, China and in addition proved helpful in Tokyo, Japan. He had written Memoirs of the Geisha more than a six-year period. He was created in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He wedded Trudy Legee in 1982. His book, Memoirs of the Geisha, was converted to an attribute film starring Ken Watanabe.
