Arno Schmidt

A German writer and translator, he’s known for such works as Leviathan, The Egghead Republic, and Evening Edged in Gold. His most well-known work may be the 1970 book, Zettels Traum. He was created in Hamburg, Germany and was drafted into Wehrmacht support at the start of World Battle II. He was an British Prisoner-of-War for a while before you begin a post-war profession like a freelance article writer. He previously a cynical look at of the globe: in Schwarze Spiegel, he colored an image of his personal Utopia like a post-apocalyptic place without human being existence. He and his wife had been frequently displaced during and in the aftermath of Globe Battle II. In 1958, they finally resolved in Bargfeld, Decrease Saxony. He referenced Edgar Allan Poe’s functions in his masterpiece, Zettels Traum. He also translated Poe’s functions into German.
