Aristide Maillol

French Catalan sculptor, painter, and printmaker. He produced the business lead sculpture La Rivière, housed in the Museum of Contemporary Art in NY. He determined at a age to go after painting. He passed away in a vehicle accident when he was 83. His parents elevated him in Banyuls-sur-Mer, Roussillon. His early paintings had been affected by Paul Gauguin.
