Arcangelo Corelli

Biography

Appreciated for his trio sonatas, concerti grossi, and chamber music compositions for the violin, this Baroque-era composer and violinist inspired the functions of such renowned classical composers as Handel and Bach. Through the 1670s, his musical profession was growing in Rome, where he was utilized being a violinist on the Cathedral of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini. A preferred musician among regents and spiritual figures, he frequently performed for Cardinal Pietro Ottoboni as well as for Christina, Queen of Sweden. He was created to a land-owning family members in the Romagna area of Italy. His dad passed away before his delivery, and he was raised in the treatment of his four old siblings and his mom, Santa Ruffini Corelli. Pietro Locatelli, a fellow Italian violinist and Baroque composer, was among Corelli’s music learners.
