Antonio Machado

Biography

Public realist poet from the Era of ’98 and known for such works as Soledades and Campos de Castilla (posted in 1903 and 1912, respectively). His afterwards works consist of Nuevas Canciones and Juan de Mairena. He was created in Seville and afterwards transferred to Madrid, where he examined on the Institucion Libre de Ensenanza and uncovered his interest for poetry. He proved helpful around the convert of the hundred years as an professional and translator. He wedded sixteen-year-old Leonor Izquierdo in 1909. Tragically, she passed away three years afterwards of tuberculosis. He resided in Paris for a while and became familiar with French Symbolist poet Paul Verlaine.
