Anthony Boucher

An American science fiction and mystery writer, editor, and journalist, he posted such well-known works as Nine Situations Nine (1940) and Rocket towards the Morgue (1942). Furthermore, he wrote testimonials of secret fiction for the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Chronicle. He graduated from both School of Southern California as well as the School of California at Berkeley. He afterwards helped in founding the Secret Writers of America association. He received the Hugo Prize for Greatest Professional Newspaper. He was raised in Oakland, California. He wedded Phyllis Cost in 1938. His book, Rocket towards the Morgue, includes a character predicated on L. Ron Hubbard.
