American consultant, philanthropist, and politician who became the next feminine mayor of Dallas and its own second Jewish mayor in 1987. She graduated through the University of Tx at Austin in 1944. Her legacy was commemorated using the naming from the Annette Strauss Musician Square in Dallas’ Artwork District. She got two daughters with her hubby, Theodore Strauss. She and John D. Rockefeller both utilized their influence to create many charitable foundations; in her case, this included function for the Dallas Symphony, Southern Methodist College or university, the United Method of America, and co-founding the Volunteer Middle of North Tx.
